youtube doesn’t let you post links, but try googling the Nokia US website, go to the support and software page and then click the Download Software tab below it and look for ’software for phones’ on that page. should be somewhere there I just automatically updated my phone through Ovi suite’s software updater (you can do that if you have the Ovi suite installed, but the nokia website should have the download if you follow those instructions.
If not, just google “5800 firmware v40″

I’m so happy it finally came ;D Nokia finally did it, and it’s beautiful.
Well, it’s not as smooth and fluent as the iPhail, but it’s still awesome!

i got a hold of one these xm’s before its release date in october, i gotta say i’m really happy with it, i’m on my second one now the first broke in two pieces at the airport lol. its now the 5800 navigation edition. . . i am the only one that i seen that owns one of these phone in new mexico. . . to update the easiest way just download the software updater on your pc. . . i did just downloaded v31, works a bit better than v21, but patiently waiting on v40 to become avail in the us.

I updated my firmware with Nokia Software Updater software I installed in my computer. . u just need Nokia 5800’s USB cable, a computer and that software. . make sure to install the software first and run it. . it will guide you through the updating process. . but b4 doing so, u must backup ur phone(of course) and don’t ever stop the updating in process cause it will severely damage ur phone. . (that’s what the software say ). . sorry for the late reply

rightly you have no warranty any more, but this phone is so mess that i had to repaired it on a nokia shop. and they repaired it without they have seen it. so i dont think that you have to be scared. so i did it and it works, and the phone is now faster without any problems
