    @mohdamirshadaab
    then you are clearly either doing it wrong or have damaged the earpiece in the process of disassembly. its a common fact that your screwdriver may attract the magnet in the earpiece and damage it. i’ve got hundreds f replies but this is the first where there is any sort of negative effect.

    hi ,
    you can use magnets from sony earphones. they are small and powerful neodimium magnets and are very very small.

  7. ive done this procedure exactly how you have instructed. its better now. but the screen now goes completely black until i slide the auto lock on the side a few times then comes back. is this bad? should i remove the magnet? i hope it wont damage the phone further more

    and i’ve heard also in some sony-ericsson in ear type earphones.

    My beloved 5800 is currently in the hands of a service engineer having this problem fixed.
    The warranty expires towards the end of September, so if it goes agaain at leat i’ll know what to try. Anyone know what causes this problem? I got fed up rubbing my screen to warm it up in the mornings. I love my phone, but I have my limits! Can’t wait to get it back though, I’m lost without it.
    Well done with finding this out.

  14. the magnets, solves the problem permanently?
    the problem not return?
    how long the phone works well?

    sorry for my english …

    Thanks for this one! I used the magnet inside my old Sony Ericsson earphones.. Not bad.. Though sometimes, the problem still occurs…

    if you still have some problem, try moving the magnet slightly left or right. i faced the same problem as yu when i discovered it.
