This phone is so far one of the best ( IF NOT THE BEST #1 ) phones that i have watched movies on. Excelent quality of videos, no delay when playing, no spikes no anything. I would say this is my favority phone, right after nokia n900 witch is coming soon, if not allready shipped world wide. Excelent job from Nokia on these 2 phones.
I have N5800 and its great phone ! I converted film with avi (640×280 at 30 fps ) to Mpeg – 4 in high quality (640×480 30 fps, 5000 kpbs) and the video quality was very very nice ! But the converted film to Mpeg – 4 have 2GB
Yes, now i have film in avi format and i watch it into SmartMovie 4,10 … and my converter have 640×480 30 fps 6000kbps, but 5800 have problem play this quality and 5000 kbps work great …
if i buy that phone is it hard to get some movies on it

@SKduval 5000 kbps is too much for a resolution like 640×480.

5000-6000kbps is for HD movies with 1280×720 resolution not 640×480.

i play convert my videos to .mp4 i found is the best way… really small files great quality…
if you see the default videos like the batman trailer inside the memory was in .mp4 and it was great…

what is the format of that movie ?
which formats does it play, like .avi ,, .mpeg etc.
try with ‘FormatFactory 2.20′ that thing had a ’5800 profile’ to convert movies, works great
