@ElectroHands If you are simply dismantling your case, eBay is the place to go. Normal hard ware sores wont stock the screwdrivers as they are specilist equipment.

Can I get the screwdriver from any hardware store? or do I have to go to a special store that sells them? :)

@ksausa14 If you break one of the screens, you can save over £40 by replacing them yourself.

I have uploaded a new video on Reassembling Your Nokia5800.

Well, after messing for quite a long time, i figured out that there is nothing wrong with the touchscreen, but i was not following the proper procedure. So, here is how it goes. First you need to attach the touchscreen with the front cover, when it fits inside it properly, then attach it to the phone, its quite better now!

@yodude010 It may mean your screws are not tight enouth. If you got your screen from ebay, then you may have brought a slightly duff screen. Part of the risk of cheaper screens from ebay… :S

  12. Update: I’ve successfully changed my touch panel, the phone is working fine. The little thing im facing now is that the metal type cover which i took apart form my old touch panel and attach it to the new one didnt stick properly to it, so whenever i use the phone, it feels sloppy, like the touchscreen is not tight.. any solution?? i hear minor click click type voice when i press something, anything else i can do to make the panel tight?

  13. Thank you so much for such a nice tutorial.. I’ll change my touchscreen digitizer tonight by watching your video. Thanks again and thumbs up!
